Softimental
Class95's Soft Rock weekends. I believe I have blogged on this a couple years ago. I'm doing it again. The weekend of just pure soft rock music brings me back to the time when I was pretty fresh out of uni, pretty new to the idea of employment and things, seriously, seemed much simpler. We are talking about that time of youth, indulged with Saturday nights spent at Fat Frog, chilling out with Peach Cooler (and chamomile tea for the wonderful companion) and really finger-licking good chicken wings. We are talking about sitting on plastic (occasionally-flimsy) chairs, crossing our legs on the chairs, clad in casual tee and shorts, listening to music - Darren strumming and Nuris singing. There is a certain kind of contentment there. There still is, for me, a kind of contentment just knowing that there was such a time. Not that I'm not contented with my life and its occurences now. But, it's a different kind, a simpler kind of contentment then. Soft rock also brings my thoughts to Kay. Perhaps cos we did spend a few such weekends, just reading on my bed and really just enjoying the things we like - music and books. Well, she preferred comics. The lazy Sundays of such. Yes, the nostalgia extends there too, but not as much as the earlier. Some people have remained out of reach, some people have yet to cross our paths, some people have gone past just leaving their trail on our facebook. It is our blessing that you and I, we still remain a comforting scenery in each other's path, sharing some reminiscence when the mood, or the music, takes us.
